Academic files go far beyond the diploma itself. We work with transcripts of records, certificates of qualifications, academic declarations, diploma supplements, course certificates, school records and other Portuguese education documents.
Public and private institutions
Documents issued by Portuguese public educational institutions are public documents for apostille purposes.
Private education follows a different route. Documents from private higher education institutions can require prior authentication through IES, I.P. Documents from private pre-school, basic and secondary schools can require prior authentication through the current non-higher-education authority route.
DGEstE was abolished in 2025, so current cases should not be built around that obsolete authority name. We identify the correct authentication step and then continue to apostille.
