What this IES declaration does
IES, I.P., which replaced DGES, issues declarations confirming Portuguese higher education institutions and their degree-awarding courses when a Portuguese qualification must be recognised abroad.
The declaration is issued digitally through the official online request.
Official IES process
IES currently charges €12.40 per declaration. The official maximum processing time is 10 working days from confirmed payment, and the declaration is sent by email.

What you upload
The online request includes a digital copy of the original academic document or an authenticated copy in PNG, JPEG or PDF.
No paper document has to be mailed for this declaration.
