Portuguese Company Documents for KYC and KYB

A foreign KYC team does not care how many Portuguese portals exist. It wants a clean answer to five questions: what is the company, who runs it, who owns it, what does it do and which official records prove those facts.

Company identity and status

Start with current commercial registry evidence and, where useful, FCPC.

These records establish the Portuguese entity and its current official registration data.

Constitution

The current pacto social or estatutos gives the company's constitutional rules.

Banks and compliance teams use it to understand the corporate object, governance and representation structure.

Directors and legal representatives

Use the current commercial registry and supporting appointment records to prove company management and representation.

Where the institution wants the underlying act, add the registry + documents certificate.

Beneficial ownership

Use RCBE for the UBO layer.

Do not try to infer beneficial ownership from a basic company extract when the KYC team explicitly asks for the Portuguese beneficial ownership record.

Financial and compliance add-ons

Annual accounts, company criminal record, tax debt certificate, powers of attorney and other records enter the file when the onboarding list asks for them.

Portugal Papers already handles these document families.

The fastest route is the checklist

Send us the bank or compliance portal list.

We build the exact Portuguese document package and handle translation or international preparation in the same case.
