What RCBE is
The Registo Central do Beneficiário Efetivo identifies the natural persons who ultimately control a company, fund or other legal entity.
Portuguese entities within the RCBE regime maintain their beneficial ownership information in the system. The official service also provides a consultation function and proof of consultation.
For KYC and compliance
RCBE evidence is frequently paired with commercial registry records, articles of association and identification of directors or legal representatives.
