When paper is the right route
Paper apostilles remain a normal part of international document work. They are used with paper public documents and are often the easiest format for foreign registries, courts, banks, universities and consulates that still work with physical files.
A paper apostille is attached to or accompanies the Portuguese public document and authenticates its public origin under the Hague Apostille Convention.
If you already have the document
Send us a scan first. We confirm what the document is and tell you where to send the original.
Once it reaches us in Portugal, we handle the apostille and return it by the delivery method you choose.
If you do not have the document yet
We obtain Portuguese certificates and extracts for you first. This is often the cleaner route because we order the correct fresh document, prepare the apostille and send the finished set directly to you.
Typical examples include civil-registry certificates, criminal records and company registry documents.
Courier and chain of custody
For an international paper file, logistics are part of the service. We coordinate receipt in Portugal and return delivery by tracked post or international courier.
You receive one finished package instead of a list of Portuguese offices to contact yourself.
Paper apostille and translation
If the destination also needs a certified translation, we add it to the same file. We prepare the document sequence so the apostille and translation match the package you will actually submit.
