Official government fee
The Ministério Público currently charges one tenth of the Portuguese unit of account for issuance or verification of an apostille: €10.20.
That is the state fee. It is not the total price of using a private document service.
Portugal Papers service
Our apostille service starts at €99.
That price covers the professional handling of the apostille request in Portugal. If you already have the correct document, we start from that document. If you need us to obtain it first, document retrieval is added to the order.
Document plus apostille
A standard Portuguese certificate retrieval is typically €99 and apostille service is €99.
That means a standard certificate plus apostille starts at €198 before optional translation or delivery.
Translation
Certified translation starts at €49 per document.
We deliver the apostilled document and translation as one completed file.
Delivery
Paper delivery is priced separately according to destination and delivery method. We use tracked postal services or international courier.
Digital documents and e-Apostilles are delivered electronically.
Why pay a service fee when the official fee is €10.20?
Because the official fee buys the apostille itself. It does not obtain a missing Portuguese document, check the source format, resolve the authentication chain, coordinate IES or DGEstE, prepare translation, manage paper originals or ship the completed file abroad.
If all you need is a straightforward self-service apostille and you are in Portugal, the official route is inexpensive. If you want the whole document file handled, that is what our service is for.
